UBC’s Wine Research Centre (WRC) is a world-class centre that links academia, industry and wider communities to help support and develop Canada’s rapidly flourishing grape and wine industry.

The dual-campus WRC, headquartered at UBC Okanagan, is an interdisciplinary centre where cutting-edge research in enology, viticulture, management, and social sciences drives innovation and excellence in partnership with industry; where first-class education engages local and global communities; and where the next generation of industry leaders gains knowledge and inspiration.

As part of SE-CHANGE, and with a history of excellence in wine research and education at UBC stretching back more than two decades, the WRC plays a central role in fostering connections in research, teaching and learning across UBC, Canada and internationally. Recently expanded as a collaboration between the Faculty of Management, the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Science, and the Faculty of Land and Food Systems, the WRC is poised to further strengthen cooperation between academic institutions, the wine industry, and communities around the world.
